Ben is an Associate of Douglas Partners with over nine years’ experience in geotechnical and environmental consulting. He commenced employment with DP in late 2007 after completing a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree at James Cook University.
Since joining Douglas
Partners, Ben has been based in the Cairns office, carrying out geotechnical and
contamination investigations throughout North Queensland, particularly the
remote areas of Cape York and Torres Strait Islands, as well as a number of
projects throughout Papua New Guinea.
Ben has experience in a range of contaminated soil and groundwater investigations, acid sulfate soils, and in geotechnical investigations, including those for multi-storey buildings, larger scale infrastructure projects, mining infrastructure, and stability assessments for residential development in the Cairns Region.
Ben has significant experience in a broad range of field investigation techniques, including soil/rock logging, land and overwater drilling, and cone penetration testing (CPTs).
