David is an Associate of Douglas Partners with over 12 years experience in environmental consulting. He commenced employment with us in early 2012, and has since also gained valuable geotechnical consulting experience.

David completed a Bachelor of Science (Resource and Environmental Management) with Honours at the Australian National University in 2001. His first experiences with contaminated land investigations were in Kuwait in 2002 and 2003, and has maintained an interest in soil biogeochemistry and contaminated land ever since. David has been working as an environmental consultant based in Townsville since 2007, and since commencing with Douglas Partners in 2012 has been responsible for a range of geotechnical and environmental investigations throughout North and West Queensland. Notable project experience includes site investigations for contamination, remediation supervision and validation reporting, as well as preparing a number of successful applications to the Queensland Department of Environment and Heritage Protection (EHP) to have sites removed from the EHP Environmental Management Register.

In recent years David has developed a keen interest in the geotechnical engineering side of the business, and has been increasingly responsible for a number of geotechnical investigations, including for site classification, slope stability, pavements, and acid sulfate soils.
