Per Henrikson is a Principal of Douglas Partners with over 15 years' experience in geotechnical engineering consulting. He completed a Master of Science in Civil Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1999.

After graduation Per worked for a piling contractor and as a geotechnical consultant in his native Sweden, before moving to Australia to join Douglas Partners' Sydney office in 2003. After a period back in Sweden (2007 and 2011), where he worked as a geotechnical engineer for one of the leading multidisciplinary consultancies in Scandinavia, he re-joined Douglas Partners Sydney in 2012. He has been part of Douglas Partners' Melbourne team since 2013.

Per has wide experience from a broad range of projects both in Australia and overseas. He has undertaken numerous geotechnical investigations for various residential, commercial and industrial developments in New South Wales and Victoria. Over the last few years, Per has chiefly been involved in projects associated with the recent boom of high rise developments in Melbourne, including several towers in Melbourne’s CBD and Docklands. His broad experience also includes smaller scale inspections, investigations and stability assessments for predominantly residential developments in Sydney and Melbourne. Since Christmas 2016 Per has been part of the team designing and constructing the new 8km railway extension from South Morang to Mernda in Melbourne.

While working in Sweden he was mainly involved in several major highway and railway projects, commonly located in areas with the challenging soft and sensitive clays of the Swedish west coast and Stockholm.
