Business and Project Administrator

About the Role
Your new role will support the Brisbane branch as a key go-to person who is proactive, thinks on their feet, and problem solves to contribute to the smooth-running of projects. You will be part of an established team and assist the consulting staff by managing administrative duties for the project team as well as involvement with business development.

Specific responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Efficiently assist the engineering, earthworks, laboratory and office management teams by applying your understanding of our systems and processes to identify and implement practical solutions to effectively achieve required outcomes;
  • Project administrative duties such as proposal and project setup and closure;
  • Assist with the preparation of tenders, proposals, expressions of interest and similar submissions to promote business capabilities;
  • Assist in the preparation of client deliverables including formatting and collation of correspondences, presentations and engineering reports and accompanying documentation;
  • Work with the Branch Manager and Senior Consultants assisting with Business Developments strategies and;
  • Willingness to support the business with administrative overflow whenever required.

About You

The successful applicant will have the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience (not essential) in a similar role and preferably within an engineering or professional services industry;
  • Experience (not essential) in business development or related fields;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, and a proven ability to learn operational requirements for engineering and project management software;
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail;
  • Proactive and resourceful attitude with good problem solving skills;
  • Strong time management and organisational skills;
  • Sound interpersonal skills that provide you with the ability to work with a range of stakeholders from across the organisation.
