Geotechnical Engineer / Engineering Geologist 5+ years

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for those with medium-level experience looking at taking the leap to a more senior position.

Duties and responsibilities are:

  • Prepare quotes for potential projects;
  • Analysis, design and problem-solving using software such as Slope/W and CIRCLY to facilitate geotechnical and civil designs;
  • Provision of construction phase advice, inspection and assessment for a range of building, infrastructure and landslide remediation projects;
  • Planning, coordinating and performing field investigations for a wide variety of residential / commercial / industrial / infrastructure projects;
  • Undertake site inspections, testing, geological face mapping, monitoring services for construction sites for a range of earthworks, pavements, road and rail projects;
  • Writing technical memoranda, letters and reports to a high standard, as expected by our clients;
  • Business development, client development and management; and
  • Mentoring of other geotechnical professionals within the geotechnical team.

About You

To be considered for this role, the successful applicant will:

  • Ideally have at least five years' professional experience as a Geotechnical Engineer / Engineering Geologist;
  • Achieved a Bachelor of Engineer (BE) or Bachelor Science (BSc) degree;
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment;
  • Able to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients and contractors;
  • Proven problem solving and pattern recognition skills;
  • High level of computer and writing skills;
  • High commitment to safety and professional integrity; and
  • Hold a current Australian driver’s licence (Class C).
