About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for those with medium level experience looking at taking the jump to a more senior position. Or for those looking for the opportunity to move to the beautiful Sunshine Coast!
Duties and responsibilities are:
- Preparing winning tenders and proposals;
- Planning and coordinating field investigations for a wide variety of medium to large scale residential / commercial / industrial / infrastructure projects;
- Coordination and oversight of site inspection / testing / monitoring services for construction sites for a range of earthworks, pavements, deep excavation, building, road and rail projects;
- Completion or direction of analysis and problem-solving using software such as Slope/W, WALLAP and CIRCLY to facilitate geotechnical and civil designs;
- Writing technical memoranda, letters and reports to a high standard, as expected by our clients;
- Business development, client development and management;
- Mentoring of other geotechnical professionals within the geotechnical team.
About You
To be considered for this role, the successful applicant will:
- Ideally between five - ten years' professional experience as a Geotechnical Engineer / Engineering Geologist;
- Achieved a Bachelor of Engineer (BE) or Bachelor Science (BSc) degree;
- RPEQ and CPEng;
- Practically minded and enjoy outdoor work;
- Ability to work in a team-based environment;
- Able to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients and contractors;
- Proven problem solving and pattern recognition skills;
- High level of computer and writing skills;
- High commitment to safety; and
- Hold a current Australian driver’s licence (Class C) and be able to drive manual vehicles.
