David Holden is an Environmental Scientist and holds a Bachelor of Science (Environmental) degree from the University of Sydney. He has over nine years professional experience in the field of contaminated land, with works undertaken including investigations and remediation projects for a range of residential, educational, health and commercial developments involving soil, gas and groundwater contamination issues.
David has completed various remediation projects which have included project works from ‘cradle to grave’, viz. the assessment, remediation design, validation and long term monitoring. David also has experience in landfill cell design, construction quality assessments and monitoring of landfill gas and leachate/groundwater.
Combining the knowledge from landfill sites and other remediation projects David has worked on a number of developments which have involved construction on old landfills and hence required designing and validating groundwater and gas mitigation systems. David works closely with project teams to allow integration of mitigation measures into building design to minimise remedial costs. He also routinely works with consent authorities, most notably Site Auditors and Councils, to meet the respective development’s consent requirements.
