Kurt jointed Douglas Partners in 2005 after completing an honours degree in Environmental Science majoring in earth sciences at the University of New South Wales. Kurt is currently undertaking post graduate study in hydrogeology at Flinders University.
Kurt is a Senior Associate / Project Manager in the Contaminated Land Group of the DP Sydney Office. Kurt has a wide range of experience in conducting contamination assessment and remediation projects for both public and private sector clients for varied developments including major residential sub divisions, residential apartment complexes, major retail centres, commercial / industrial properties and waste management centres.
Kurt has specific experience in a number of types of environmental investigations including soil and groundwater contamination investigations; soil vapour and hazardous ground gas investigations, salinity investigations, acid sulfate soil investigations and hazardous building materials assessments.
Kurt has been involved in a variety of remediation projects including the preparation of remediation action plans and providing remediation services for UPSS remediation works, soil vapour mitigation system design and construction quality assurance, in situ groundwater remediation projects, asbestos remediation and management, acid sulfate soil management and treatment and salinity management.
Kurt has also worked extensively in the landfill industry including the design of landfill cells, preparation of landfill management plans and closure plans, providing construction quality assurance advice during landfill cell construction, providing water balance assessments and undertaking long-term monitoring projects to meet landfill EPL requirements
