Paula-Marie is an Associate Environmental Scientist of Douglas Partners with over 10 years' experience in environmental investigation and remediation consulting.
Paula-Marie commenced employment with DP in August 2004 after completing a PhD in Environmental Science (School of Chemistry) at the University of Sydney (2000). The topic of her PhD thesis was ‘Marble tombstones as Environmental Indicators’ . Paula also completed a Graduate Diploma in Environmental Science and a Bachelor of Science (Marine Science) at Sydney University between 1995 and 1998. The topic of her Graduate Diploma Thesis was ‘Australia’s Carrying Capacity’.
Paula works in the Sydney office of Douglas Partners and has experience in investigation and remediation works along the Sydney harbour foreshore in Pyrmont, Balmain, Rhodes, Mortlake and Garden Island. Paula has worked on various landfill sites including Campsie, Windellama, Eastern Creek, Thornleigh, Blackheath, Lawson and Sydney Park. She has been involved in groundwater and landfill gas monitoring, management plans and landfill closure plans on existing /completed landfills as well as preparation of water balance studies, design of new landfill cells and management plans for new landfills.
As an audit assistant to Mike Nash, Paula has worked on various sites in Colebee, Dubbo, Double Bay, Rozelle, Camperdown, Waterloo, Glebe and Randwick (NSW) and Braddon and Kingston (ACT).
More recently Paula has worked on remediation projects in Moorebank, Mascot, Randwick and Glebe and investigations in Sydney, Liverpool, Granville and Parramatta.
