Joel is a Senior Associate of Douglas Partners based in our Sydney office with over twelve years' experience in geotechnical engineering.
Joel completed a Bachelor Degree of Civil Engineering in China in 2008 and came to Australia in 2010. He has also obtained a Master of Engineering Science degree at the University of New South Wales in 2012.
Joel joined Douglas Partners in year 2015 after having worked for a number of engineering consultancies in Australia and in China.
Joel has a special interest in geotechnical design, numerical modelling / finite element analyses for problems related to soil-structure interactions such as slope stabilisation, embankment, tunnel, shoring wall, deep basement excavation, raft slab, piled foundation and basement dewatering.
Joel has been involved in a wide variety of projects, which includes residential, commercial and industrial developments, infrastructure, roads and pavements, railway and water.
Joel is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng), a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) and is on the National Engineering Register (NER).
