Peter has technical expertise in geotechnical engineering and engineering geology including geotechnical investigations, site inspections and supervision, foundations, excavations, earthworks, retaining structures, slope stability assessments, rock face mapping and remediation.
He has over 15 years’ experience within the geotechnical engineering industry and over 5 years’ experience in the mineral exploration and mining industry. He has carried out many geotechnical and environmental investigations from small scale private projects to large scale major infrastructure projects. His current role is Associate Engineering Geologist and he currently manages a variety of jobs requiring efficient time management and planning. Prior to joining Douglas Partners in 2005, Peter worked for Connell Wagner (now Aurecon) as a Geotechnical Engineer/Tunnel Geologist for a period of about 5 years and before that, worked for various mineral exploration and mining companies within Australia.
Some notable projects Peter has worked on include the Sydney Metro (Transport of NSW), Northern Beaches B-Line (RMS), M2 Motorway Batter Stability Investigation (Transurban), Warringah Mall Expansion (Scentre Group), Castle Towers Expansion Project (QIC Ltd), Holroyd to Potts Hill Cable Line (TransGrid), Ranger Uranium Mine (3-Deeps) Exploration Decline (Rio Tinto), West Metro (Sydney Transport Authority (now TfNSW)), VAPS (Sydney Opera House Vehicle and Pedestrian Safety Project) (Savills Australia Pty Ltd), City West Cable Tunnel (Baulderstone), F3 Widening (Berowra to Cowan) (BMD), Cross City Tunnel (Baulderstone Hornibrrok), Southern Sydney Freight Line (ARTC), NCIG Project (Kooragang Island Coal Terminal Expansion - NCIG), Northside Storage Tunnel (Transfield).
